THE HUMAN BEHIND THE INTERFACE
Hi! I’m Esheta (Esha)!
I design products that earn adoption by listening, testing, and crafting clear interactions. As a DJ, I’ve learned to treat every experience like a set that responds to real people in real time.
At UC San Diego, I fell in love with the brain, behavior, and the design that meets people where they are.
At Carnegie Mellon, I’ve refined a research practice that starts with people, uses hypotheses to focus the work, and ships outcomes teams can stand behind.
I’ve worked across gaming, health, culture, and fintech, and through it all, my heart is in consumer products that people return to because they feel seen.
I am always trying to live and learn slowly, fully, and a little curiously! :)
Read the room
I start with context and decisions that need to be made, create assumptions, and focus the few questions that could change the call. If a study would not move the decision, I do not run it. It’s important to choose the smallest, clearest way to learn.
Invent around constraints
When the usual path doesn’t answer the big question, I will challenge a sideways approach. I sketch out unconventional but testable options, build scrappy prototypes, and pair what people say with what they do to shape a promising direction for a team to ship.
Turn insight into direction
I cut the noise and write it plainly so design, product, and engineering read it the same way. I link findings to options and tradeoffs, name an owner, and set one simple check for success.
